This is a seasonal position. Start date will begin June 2, 2017, end dates will vary according to pool closures.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer Experience in the following:

•Bilingual – English/Spanish.

•Experience working with diverse populations and communities, including interacting with individuals of diverse social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds.

•American Red Cross Community CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
(Training is offered by Parks and Recreation and more information may be obtained during the interview.)

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.

•Monitor pool access and facility attendance at all times.
•Courteously greet patrons of facilities and provide information by answering questions and requests.
•Assist with rule enforcement.
•Assist with general upkeep and cleaning of facility.
•Take and relay messages to appropriate personnel.
•Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
•Assist in emergency situations at your facility and other facilities if needed.
•Contribute to team effort by accomplishing tasks as needed.
•Communicate verbally in an effective and friendly manner with customers and staff.

Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.

•Ability to handle a high-volume of customers.
•Skill in providing customer service.
•Ability to work outdoors in any and all types of weather and/or inclement conditions; and in confined spaces.
