Pay Range

$28.95 – $37.50 per hour

Hours

Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. Additional hours, evenings, and/or weekends may be required based on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

- A working knowledge of both non-structural and structural BMP’s for storm water management as it relates to land development permitting and construction.

- A working knowledge of the concepts and principles of database design and the ability to research and make recommendations for potential IT solutions.

- Experience developing procedures and guidelines for training of environmental protection professionals.

- Experience in enforcement of environmental regulations.

- Possession of a Texas Class C Driver License or the ability to acquire one by the date of hire

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
1. Plans and coordinates daily activities and operations of environmental personnel to support departmental objectives.
2. Develops goals, objectives, and resource requirements for activities.
3. Develops, revises, and implements standard operating practice, policy, and procedure. Interprets and explains environmental regulations. Ensures compliance with all city policies and procedures.
4. Prepares, monitors, and ensures section operates within appropriated budget.
5. Coordinates and monitors the safety of environmental personnel in the field.
6. Coordinates the activities of contractors providing waste management and spill response services.
7. Oversees and schedules training of environmental compliance personnel.
8. Receives, investigates, and monitors environmental compliance customer complaints and ensures their resolution.
9. Writes, drafts, and completes reports and documents. Reviews regulatory reports prepared by subordinates
