DRIVER’S LICENSE
Driving on City business: This position must travel between various locations as part of the regular job duties and individual may be required to drive own personal vehicle or City vehicle. Successful candidate must be in possession of a Texas driver’s license as authorized by the Texas Transportation Code. A driving record verification will be conducted. Applicants for positions for which City driving is an essential function must meet the standards of the program: age 18 or older, current applicable driver’s license, proof of insurability, and no more than six (6) points assessed on Driver Record Evaluation (DRE) based on Department of Public Safety (DPS) Driver Record Report. Pay Range

$38.60 – $51.01 per hour

Hours

M-F, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with flex time available upon approval.
Shift may change according to department needs.

Preferred Qualifications

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.

1.Assign projects, establish schedule, monitor performance of staff and
provide guidance, leadership and ensure project completion within
timelines.
2.Act as liaison with customers and contractors to and ensure customer
satisfaction and other related agencies. Coordinates and cooperates with
other agencies, departments, divisions and private utilities involved in or
affected by project(s). Represent the City of Austin and Austin Energy to
councils, boards and other regulatory agencies
3.Establish and ensure completion of quality assurance measures by
developing, monitoring, analyzing reports and providing revisions to
policies and procedures.
4.Develop and monitor O&M and/or CIP budgets and respond to any
deviations from the approved cost/time line projections.

• Responsible for the full range of supervisory activities including selection, training, evaluation, counseling, and recommendation for dismissal.
