  • Master's degree may substitute for experience up to two (2) years.

 



Licenses or Certifications:
  • As required in a related area.

This position must travel between various locations as part of the regular job duties, and individual may be required to drive own personal vehicle or City vehicle. Successful candidate must be in possession of a Texas driver’s license as authorized by the Texas Transportation Code. A driving record verification will be conducted. Applicants for positions for which City driving is an essential function must meet the standards of the program: age 18 or older, current applicable driver’s license, proof of insurability, and no more than six (6) points assessed on Driver Record Evaluation (DRE) based on Department of Public Safety (DPS) Driver Record Report. This position falls under the COA safe driver program requirements. The top candidate will be subject to a minimum 10 year criminal history background check and security threat assessment.

This position is classified as exempt.

Pay Range

$30.65 – $39.74 per hour

Hours

Monday – Friday
8:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Additional hours may be required to work outside of normal schedule.

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience managing residential, multifamily, or commercial energy efficiency programs.
  2. Experience developing/enhancing energy efficiency programs.
  3. Experience developing energy efficiency program marketing.
  4. Experience performing program outreach.
  5. Experience developing/negotiating contracts for energy efficiency programs.
  6. Expertise in MS Excel.
  7. Certified Energy Manager certification and/or Project Management Certification
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.

 

  1. Negotiate regulatory compliance issues with state and federal environmental agenciesManage and review programs/projects
  2. Administer programs
  3. Market programs
  4. Develop, monitor, and evaluate program and resource budgets
  5. Develop, manage and administer contracts
  6. Develop training for internal and external customers
  7. Develop and maintain program policies and standard operating procedures
  8. Develop, review, interpret, and rewrite ordinances, codes, and regulations
  9. Perform public relations functions
  10. Participate in short and long range planning activities
  11. Develop and manage quality control initiatives
  12. Develop and conduct audits
  13. Assist with evaluating bid proposals
  14. Perform supervisory duties i.e., hiring, promoting, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, etc.
